Hope Poem by Emma Wright

Hope

Hope.

A curse, a dream,
A light in the dark,
When all should be ink;
A swelling of life,
When all should be still;
A warmth next to you,
When all should be cold
And dead and gone.

Hope.

A love, a friend,
A happy laugh
Even when you want to cry;
A smile for your reflection,
Even when you are drowning
To float on a cloud,
Even though the weight of
The world's expectations is
pressing you down and down
and down.

Hope

To live thorugh the worst times;
To take a chance on someone;
To belive in heaven when you only see hell.

Hope
