Honeydew Lover Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Honeydew Lover

Rating: 5.0

Good morning my lover
Did you notice how our bodies moulded together
After such a night, exhaustion is exquisite
Feeling your warmth by my side
That velvet skin touching mine
Your hair spread cross the pillows
So wild and abandoned
Breathing the scent of love
So heady, the smell of you
Those butterfly kisses tasting of honeydew
Exciting the fibres
Electrifying
It’s like this every night
Soaring up to the pinnacles
Tenderly satisfying
Enveloped in each other
Slowly, ever so slowly
Falling into the tender arms of sleep
I really love you so
My friend, my lover
