Honey Poem by Jeffrey Mitchell

Honey

Rating: 5.0

Buzzing along
Minding my own business
Then I see some honey in a tree
As I glance while passing by
I notice a spider looking at me!

But the lure of honey
Was enticing me!
Now caught in a web
Buzzing and buzzing and buzzing
Trying to get free while the spider
Is gazing and thinking am I her next meal to be?

Then the spider climbs down her web
With quickness she spun another web trying to entangle me
I continue to buzz trying to get free, but the more I buzz
The more entangled I be

As she got close to me I stopped buzzing
The web loosen and my stinger busted free
So when the spider came to bite, my stinger set me free!

Now the other spiders around that tree
Began to wonder how that bee got that spider
Up in his honey tree?
