Honesty Poem by Shah Alam

If I know I love you why cant I say so?
If you don’t want to leave then why do you go?
Why is it that when we hear the truth we have to twist and cringe?
When will this prison door finally unhinge?
Honesty doesn’t seem to be valuable these days
I try and I try but I cant forget your gaze
The truth jumped out at me daring me to blink
Tell me now, did you really think
That it wasn’t meant to be
That there is no such thing as honesty.
