Homophobes Poem by kayla martinez

Homophobes

I thought about it last night,
Thought of what would be right.
Everything is now horrible.
It all turns into trouble.

Life wouldn't be the same,
But it's all just a game.
Maybe not to me, too,
But I know it is to you.'

You joke, you laugh, ha,
But you know there's a flaw.
I want it all to end,
And you can't lose a friend.

These things race through my mind.
As I try to sit and unwind.
I can't choose: Husband or Wife?
Can't choose if I want a life.

People think it's a choice,
But they need to hear a voice.
Someone to tell them they're wrong,
And that OUR hope is gone.

Thanks to all of them,
I live a life, condemned.
F*ck all the homophobes,
Why aren't there straightophobes?
