Homesick! Poem by Liz Bedford

It's Christmas time yet again, and as I sit in the sleet and rain
I think of the sun, of years gone by; when we would swim and laugh, have a braai
All of the people who have passed away made this a very special day
The joy the laughter the silly songs, Bols and Castle, and of course, biltong
Dad singing White Christmas and longing for snow, us being jealous little did we know!
Mom sentimental and making the day, she always did that in her own special way.
So now I guess it's up to me, to make Christmas memories for my own family
So I raise my glass to you with Christmas Cheer, May you all be blessed and Happy New Year!
