Homeless (Monchielle) Poem by Dorian Petersen Potter

Homeless (Monchielle)

The homeless have no home
They need a place to live
They got no food to eat
Some want to work but can't
They live out in the street.

The homeless have no home
Sleep in carton boxes
Many under bridge live
Folks feel contempt for them
Homeless need to survive.

The homeless have no home
They roam streets days and nights
In towns and cities you see
Folks reject them, need help
Give them a hand I plea.

The homeless have no home
Are hopeless, have nothing
Some trapped by drugs, crime
They're someone's child, brother
They need help all the time.
