Home Sweet Roam Poem by Chris Leermakers

Home Sweet Roam

I am a nomad
walking in different places
meeting different people
so many different faces
I wander around
sometimes nothing better to do
don't nake a sound
or we'll stop here to
perceptual roaming
sets me apart from the rest

Green pastures all around
always searching for the best
no place to go and hide
I am nothing but alive
roaming from place to place
traveling in both time and space

As an abstract being
no challenges or regrets
one who isn't afraid
of any type of threats
or belonging to a given set
random and so primitive
unattainable, yet so free
like creatures with a simple mind
sometimes irresponsible yet so delectable

We know not of a holiday
a profession to call work
we simply pass the day
trying to help those who accept,
who want it
thinking where to lurk
on this planet, in our lives
some do have several wives
no place to call home
we simply live and roam…..

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This Poem Is Dedicated To My Good Friend Dave Ousley And To Those Who Knew Him Well - 'BlackSlab'- Who Sadly Passed Away A Few Years Ago. Although Dave Didn't Have Much Himself, He Gave All He Could To Those Who Needed Help And Never Expected Anything In Return, And Treated All That He Met With The Up Most Respect. A True Gentleman With A Heart Of Gold. We Will Always Remember Him. R.I.P
