I long to be on a beach, sitting, sipping tea.

Waves fighting for a place to land gently on my feet.
The sand running through my fingers, glowing yellow and running oh so warm.

I long to be on a beach, as the sun pours down on me.

Birds passing to grab a bite to eat.
Children playing, parents resting, people all around are red.

I long to be at the beach, as that is home to me.

What a nice way to unwind - the beach. I like the articulation of the poem. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
