Many parts of the country may be rejoicing
With the flavor of words so promising
“I shall protect you in time of crisis”
Brother may assert himself to sister on such basis

It is tying of thread on brother’s hand with full faith
In return it is commitment to her till death
Such a practice is seen nowhere
Sister is assured of full support here

There is legendry saying and custom
That sister visits brother’s home
Offers sweet and wishes him a life with fortune
Sister has all the happiness to feel fine

It is age old and continuing
It speaks of well human being
Where sister is assured of all the support
In coming days when help is sought

Sister is occupying central position
She rebuilds mother’s composition
Discharges all the functions of mother
Brother is not left at mercy or to bother

Today is such an auspicious day
Holy bond of tying thread in special way
That brother may feel visibly moved
Enjoy warmth of relation and promise her to be proved

I wish all the females
Are assured of such bond with beautiful tales
No where exists such unique feeling
Where sister and brother both exchange wishes with smiles
