Hollow Glamour Poem by Suresh Dogra

Hollow Glamour

Charming looks of a film actress
Much hailed and praised high to the sky
Tosses hearts to high pitch of desire
Putting to question the value
Of worthy women of quality
Whose sterling merits may be such
That we cannot appreciate them
On TV or Cinema screen
But in tranquil contemplation
They can't make waves in crazy hearts
That seek thrills in bursting soap bubbles
Tipsy hearts are swayed by Greek Helen
Whose face launched a thousand deadly ships
And brought down the topless towers
Of Ilium and its sky high walls
