Holding Pattern Poem by Chris Dickinson

Holding Pattern

Rating: 4.5

Hording bedroom skyline
Abettor four walls
As life scuffs on by
Temptations all sold
Stagnant leering at chance
At behest of stray light
Muddled tremblings of hope
Forge the counterfeit fight

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem while suffering from agoraphobia & depression, feeling like my life was on hold while everybody elses was moving on. At the time my only hope was luck, so I carried on going through the motions until that luck found me.
