Hokum Smokum 2 (Fun Poem 140)

Sugar Puff Wombling Wolf the English Apache
was so excited one day.
He announced he was going to appear on TV
and the crew from the BBC arrived
and filmed him at his worst,
drinking fire-water and running amok.
He was a hit became an instant star,
appearing in the Weakest Link
and then in Midsommer Murders.

He even got his own Radio show
and then became an artist's model,
but as fame rises, sadness follows,
and so it happened five years ago
when his wife was murdered.
Thankfully our English Apache
has countless friends who closed in
with the support he needed.

Today Sugar Puff Wombling Wolf
is back to his pesky self,
preparing himself to run amok
in his adopted home of Deadwood
amongst his forever friends
and to seek new ways
to pass the church collection plate,
but I don't think he'll succeed.

Both Hokum Smokum fun poems are semi-based on the life of my good friend Dennis Grinsted aka Wolf the English Apache.
