Hit And Run (Part 2 The Aftermath) Poem by Marcus McKinley

Hit And Run (Part 2 The Aftermath)

On the hitch
In the final stages of clearing
The scene of this accident
This accident being
The result of your 'HIT AND RUN'
Now, what we did
Can not be undone
As I recuperate
In the Italian sun
And reflect

Reflect upon the moment
Of impact

Pulse racing,
No time to react
Twisted and pinned
Within
A metal shell
Two nuts
The decision made took guts
To execute and hold your course
No separation, no remorse
Straight through the heart
In your semi

Entwined,
Just you and I
Together in Celtic knot are we,
Endless for eternity
I am now symbiotic
Mistletoe
Relying upon a host to grow
Laying side by side
On the beach
In traction
As a result of your action
