Hiroshima Remembered Poem by David Wood

Hiroshima Remembered

What has man become?
Where is now
His shame?

Was the suffering of humanity
Ever justified
By the action of that day?

Has history been forgotten
All the horror and the pain
The flower of humanity
Forever
Lost.

I find it haunting to see pictures of this event and the devistation it had on the people of Hirosima. Thank you for the reminder in your words of this event

No problem remembering Hiroshima as long as we don't forget what led up to Hiroshima. I am living in China at this time, and they will be happy to fill anyone in on the details as to what preceded Hiroshima. But I do agree that we ought not to repeat Hiroshima again.
