this is a story of a broken heart
she built her walls around her heart
so she wouldn't get hurt
he carefully took them down
showed her how to care
touched her tenderly
taught her how to love
told her that she was the most beautiful girl in his world
he held her close every night
promised not to leave her
he watched her as she crumbled
all the walls she built around herself
were taken down by him
just so he can break her
he broke her
she learned what it felt like to get her heart torn out
and stomped on like it didn't matter that she had given it to him
he promised he would keep it safe
that it would always be with him
but as he kissed her
she could taste the tears of her own
he let her go
he taught her how to live and then he broke her
she cried for what she lost
she cut herself again
she couldn't be strong again
she wanted to bury the feelings
lay under the ground and let it all go
she let it all go
she let him go
