High Jumping Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

High Jumping

Jump into your life, laughing as you go, climbing that ladders to success
Be self motivated, even on those days when you might stumble doing your best,
Catch a falling star, prove to the world your intention is to go very far.
Always there are those who try to bring you down, and your dreams mar.
Say a prayer, keep yourself steadfast and strong, say a prayer that nothing goes wrong.
Into the winner's circle, you must strive to go, long strides will make it so!
Moving, towards life long dreams, falling stars are best kept in hearts with golden seams.
