Hiding From Reality
It seems
Sometimes dreams
Are more real than reality
When we're dreaming
There's no one to
Try to impress
When we're sleeping
We can't control
The way we express ourselves
We can't hide
Behind faces and words
When we're awake
We try to make sure
That everyone knows
What we stand for
We put on a show
Consisting of fake smiles
Shielded eyes
And broken souls...
