Hidden Angel Poem by John Wollenzien

Hidden Angel

Guardian angel
Standing gracefully in snow
Seeing everything

Sleek fur and green eyes
Scar running across her back
Full moon and clear night

All know who she is
And fear her wrath and anger
Spilt blood and terror

The shining of eyes
And the wild free spirit
Essence of nature

She is beautiful
Young, yet wise beyond her years
Only 3 winters

The soft pad of feet
Approaching from her left side
Smelling of the pines

They gaze at the moon
Their ancestors looking back
The eternal wolf
