Hibidy Hibidy Poem by Maja Dezulovic

Hibidy Hibidy

it's a dance!
With you?
Not a chance!

I hibidy alone
for all the world to see,
young and old
original or cloned,
they stare entranced and with glee.

Take one look
you'll notice why.
it's not the hibidy by the book
but the underlying lie.

Stick around a while
I promise not to disappoint.
although what you discover may seem vile,
with murky water, me you shall anoint.

Hibidy hibidy
what joy!
my love.
Maybe one day I'll let him join
and we'll
hibidy hibidy
hibidy hibidy hibidy
hibidy!
