Hibernation Poem by Sasanka Sekhar Panda

Hibernation

Rating: 5.0

I saw the love bird
killing two female love birds
consecutively
and still dancing
in ecstasy.
I saw my love smashed
and the house of mist
shattered by your treachery.
Your deceits ever forgotten
the mourning engulf me
like white sorrows
in the twilight,
heavy like death
agonies hung
on the walls of my heart
with black flowers,
not a single star
shining in my dark sky.
I have preferred to go to the
snow-clad Himalayas
in hibernation for ever.
Still I have conviction,
the saplings of hope
for a new world
full of love and compassion,
with people caring each-other
with affections and good-living.
