Hi Neighbour Poem by Maureen Pickford

Hi Neighbour

Hi neighbour
I'm all alone.
I'm sat on a train,
without my smartphone.

Hi neighbour
I've left it at home,
now I can only
twiddle my thumbs.

Hi neighbour
look at the sky,
and the cows in the fields,
as we roll by.

Hi neighbour
you look pretty today.
Are you really
going my way?

Hi neighbour
I feel free;
technology ain't
what it's cracked up to be!
