What a wonderful life it is
When heroes and friends meet
Lots of stories from the past
Lots of hugs when they greet

Memories of past and present
Turn back the clocks and reminisce
Put themselves in the moment
Too many numerous thoughts to list

Putting together a scenario
Of what it was like back then
Celebrating the past and the future
Down the road and ‘round the bend

Folks were traveling on Route 66
On this great historical trail
Looking for a better life
The life folks prayed would prevail

Art work with much time and effort
Beautiful quilts made with deft fingers
Passed down through generations
Messages that will forever linger!
