Heroes Poem by Robert Page

Heroes

Hot shards of metal,
Slice the sky.
As bullets fly,
As soldiers die.

A single missile,
Can smash a city.
What a shame,
What a pity.

Yet still they go,
No fear in their eye.
Ready to kill,
Ready to die.

They stand as one,
For you and I.
As they face the fire,
Not one will cry.
