Hero
Just today I was watching the news,
When the man came on and said,
'There's been an awful tragedy,
That's left eight people dead.'
And that set me to thinking
About death and pain and wrongs,
Where's the hero we all need?
Why's he taking so long?
But then I realized how blessed I am,
To have someone who loves me like You do.
The hero we've been waiting for is here,
And that hero, Lord, is You.
