Hi Mark. This is a true classic and one of your best. The poem meanders in an out. I was determined not to read the twist until the end. I also love the interjection of hero praise. Wit and sarcasm with a serious edge and a moral tale. Another for yon favourites list

This is a fabulous tribute poem Mark, which depicts all the fine qualities necessary to be a Hero.We all need someone to look up to in our lives, a Knight in shining armour, a Superman.I feel certain many of the Hero's qualities in your poem stem from your own values and worth.I love this poem Mark and have given it a 10.It's MOST worthy.
