Here And Now Poem by Teresa Chrobak

Here And Now

Rating: 5.0

The wind beckons the Walker
The trees bend and flex
Dancing in spirit
Celebrating

The lake ripples in majestic tranquility
A standoff on the ice
Three black birds and a seagull
One triumphant aviary takes nourishment
Consuming

The earth steadfast and infinite
Beneath a tarp of insulating protection
Textured, tapestry, tempering, trepidatious travelers
Assuring all who stumble
Of an unyielding surface on which to rest
Providing

The world finds respite in momentary pause
A magnificent dance performed to exquisite music
A cacophonous symphony so intensely mastered
Heard only by creatures of intent and connection
Performing fervently, facetious, folly
Waiting with immense anticipation of jubilant souls
Alluring

The Walker hears the call of the wind
And joins the celebration
Twirling, spinning, and waltzing with the trees
The Walker connects with the lake
And becomes a ripple of tranquility
Listening, observing, feeling its majesty
The Walker embarks on a path provided by the earth
And is assured of its sturdy support
Trudging, strolling, traipsing, with abounding spirit
The Walker stands in awe of the world
Is overcome by the concert being performed
Is overcome by the fervent, facetious, folly
Is connected intently and drawn by the allure
The Walker
Matters not
