Her Name Poem by Muriel Ruth Emerson

Her Name

Every time I see your picture
I don't feel a thing
I have no feelings towards you
Every time I hear your voice
I don't wish it was talking to me
Every time I think of how much it hurt
The day you walked away
I feel nothing
But when I hear your sweet name
My heart skips a beat
Dropping into my stomach
I think of what we once had
Sometimes I wish the new one was you
All because of hearing your name
