# Her Diamond Ring - A Modern Haiku Series

Rating: 4.7

it glows through
the dark night
her engagement ring

it won't be replaced
nor added to
a wedding ring

he died that morning
a freak accident
in Afghanistan

she sits crouched
in the darkness
of her bedroom

tears slide off
her diamond ring
drowning her dreams
