Helpless is what i feel washing over
As i watch her slipping away
Through the cracks of my grasp
For no matter how strong my hold
She cannot be detained
By the likes of mere mortal
As she lies here right beside me
I can’t help but to think that
She is the inspiration of a fair maiden
From every fairy stories ever told
Alas i cannot keep her here with me
For she is destined to be away
Far from the reaches of this mortal
Who’s love is not worthy of her touch
Yet despair does not take over for
I would rather have one smell of her hair
Or have one touch of her hand
Then spend an eternity without
