' ' ' ' Helen And Her Troy(For Byran) Poem by Dónall Dempsey

' ' ' ' Helen And Her Troy(For Byran)

Rating: 2.7

He was Troy...her toy boy
and she was his queen Helen.

'Is this the face that munched a thousand chips? '
The local yobbos jeered.

She guffawed at quips such as this
but - they stung like whips.

“What’s a legendary character to do
when she is history? ”

she wondered as she bit into another chip butty
with added extra ketchup.

“And toy boys could be
so boring! ”

“Where has my mythical figure gone? ”

“Faust would never give me a second look now! ”
