Heavenly Loneliness Poem by Jiji Mohandas

Heavenly Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

I was in the midst of the forest.
Wind was carrying the fragrance
Of unknown flowers as
A father who carries his
Only daughter on his back.
The grasses tickled my legs
And stood like a friend
Who acts as he don't know anything
After poking me knowingly! !
Everything usual seemed
To me anew and beautiful.
I wandered lonely as a catamaran
Without its Lord, lost somewhere
In the deep, vast sea.
I felt like a feather which was
Floating in the air lightly.
To others a floating feather
May seem as if it does not know
Its ultimate destination.
It know its goal.
But do not want to miss
The happiness of being alone!
I was alone in that forest.
But I was happy.
I gazed on the meadows of thoughts
As an insane who is lost.
I wish not to return to my dreams.
I fear it may pull and drag me out
From this heavenly loneliness.

Being alone can be good for the soul as it affords space to meditate and set oneself apart from daily hustle and bustle. A lovely poem.
