Heaven's Gate Poem by Bet Ward

Heaven's Gate

They said the trip won't cost you
as you climbed aboard the Bopp
but the price was rising higher,
and you never reached the top.
They deceived you into thinking
that they'd never have you pay,
as they collected all your savings,
then they threw your soul away.
If you planned on entering Heaven's Gate
there's one thing you ignored,
When hoping for eternal life,
You must know Christ The Lord.
If you find eternal darkness,
'cause you took the wrong advice,
Remember Satan always wanted you
to be his sacrifice.
