Heatwave Poem by G J Salgado

Heatwave

See my chest as it glistens in the sun,
Telling me that you are the only one.
Thinking of the bitter chills of the cold,
As the sweat pours from my soul.
Just like tears in the rain,
Whisper to me say my name.
Listen and do not speak,
As we stand cheek to cheek.
Kiss me in the summer's wake,
Take me unto its heat wave.
