Hearts (Quatrains) Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Hearts (Quatrains)

There are hearts of innocence
Trusting at all cost,
Devoid of dark pretense
It so loves the most.

There are hearts of passion
Aflame with desire,
With time's brief duration
They may lose their fire.

There are hearts of coldness
Perhaps born from pain,
Beats with such loneliness-
It never loves again.

Yet some hearts are evil
Those that breed Hatred,
They aim just to kill
The hearts of the wicked.

There are hearts that dream
Someday all hearts blend,
In fragile Peace that seems
To signal all wars' end.

There are hopeful hearts
Some beyond mere reason,
Its purpose to impart
Wisdom for each one.
