Hearts On The Run Poem by Bill Simmons

Hearts On The Run

Rating: 2.8

Hearts On The Run

Hearts on the run
Look what we've become
We are searching for that one open door
Hoping to find love to know love once more
Look what we've done
Hearts on the run

Once upon a time
Our lives were entwined
Thinking believing somehow conceiving
The world was yours and mine

Look what we've done
The hurt it has begun
Look what we've become
Two hearts on the run

I once knew love so true
And as well so did you
But something of doubt it tore it right out
Now look at me and you

What do we do
Already it has begun
Look at our hearts torn and all scared
No stopping it now, already apart
Look at what we've become
Hearts on the run

Searching for that something more
What we once had and we adored
We let our doubt rip it right out
Now what do we do now
Hearts on the run.

A lyric, but precious, nonetheless...
