*~{(Hearts Desire) }~* Poem by wild fire

rescuers out on the highway
to somewhere she was headed
right now she cant remember where
but her heart grows heavy

she stands on the side of the road,
her hand on her head
blood blurs her vision
and rain clouds the skies

a sharp pain in her stomach
attracts her attention and she sees blood
her car is in pieces she just wants to see him
and fall away and go home

the expressions on the faces
they tell her that she cannot go
the voices they calm her into a submission
and her weariness shows

as she sleeps she dreams of his kisses
the first one the last one.... they're gone
she sees his face and hears his voice
but her heart tells her no

later she wakes up to feel alone
and she realizes that it is true
she feels his warmth but he isnt there
and she cries and she hurts all over

she curls up and sighs as they come in
and inform her that he is definitely gone
the accident she never saw it coming
but her heart's desire is....gone
