Heart & String Poem by George Semper

Heart & String

Heart & String

When I think about the times together
My heart flutters
With song my spirit sings
My body opens doors that cause's a shutter
While in tune my heart plays its strings

Of the life I've lived with sisters and brothers
There have been others
So many stories a life will bring
From far or near with friends and lovers
Held together is a heart through string

Can you remember the times of past
Yes, times move fast
Reminded by the journeys of voice, place and things
While to keep us young, through treasures past
Our toys are now of hearts bound with string

As I've been told, that what we hold
More precious than gold
May fly high on our memories new wings
But in life's endeavors, we'll be together
Held forever with hearts by strings
