Heart Beats Poem by Nellie Isabelle Steward Cooper

Heart Beats

Rating: 4.0

Are we pent
Vision less through
The heart beats;

Slow now, so slow
And yet you say
the dream must go

What sleeps in the veins
And robs the eyes of
Sight -
That into the dark cave
I must go
And never know the
Light?
