Heading For An Horizon(For Lyn)

Rating: 5.0

“The grass is crying! ”

So Tilly sees it
& so...it is...so.

The dew glistens
(the grass listens)

both laughing at her
passing fancy.

Soon the sun
wipes away all its tears.

The grass chuckling
(being chased back & forth)

by a south westerly
breeze

that Spring has
sprung upon us.

Tilly crying
with delight

her kite
hungry for the open skies

headbutting the clouds
snapping at the wind

making her dig
her little feet in

fiercely
as if

(any moment now)

she could take off
(losing a sandal)

she clinging on
for dear life

like crazy
to her crazy

kite
mad now with height

I clinging on to
her fly-away ankles

the landscape
becoming a patchwork quilt

chatting to
a passing bird

heading for an horizon.

The power of your love and adoration of Miss Tilly just amaze me, and the clarity of your 'remembers' is perfect, making me want to weep for the love I see here. Hang on to Miss Tilly's ankles and keep writing, for I have learned to love Tilly even as you do. Just perfect!
