Head Fcuk

A dark mind with negative thoughts,
can still put on a spectacular show,
within the brain, exploding blood vessels
put on a display like an erupting volcano,
in all its splendor of excitement and danger.
Corrupting the land in which it touches.
Reshaping everything in its path.
A rush of both excitement and anxiety
fight for first place, depending on
what the mood of the day is.
They draw their swords and
go to battle to see which
one shall triumphant and win the day.
On the bad day anxiety.
A good day excitement.
The mind is such a powerful tool,
which many have tried to understand
or even control at times.
Some may think they have cracked it
whilst others think that just one person, s
view or interpretation. can be so wrong
Which can differ so much from
one extreme to another's
or one end of the scale to another.
Mental health can go unseen to the
naked eye, but needs just as much
care and attention as a physical illness.

Mental Health Awareness.

Annette, this poem is much deeper than the picture you painted by words, the mind.....yes the mind, who can ever really see what is there...what should be there or what was there, and you were wise not to curse to cheapen your message for it certainly would have done an injustice to the point you made in pleading your case, the physical and mental....is there a difference when it comes to pain? You really penned a wonderful poem.

A stunning poem, Annette. One of your best. The last few lines are particularly good and the Volcanic images highly imaginative. Put it in my favourites' list
