I will commit my ways to the Lord
My daily affairs - these ponderings
And put my plans through His filter
And discern the path I should follow
For the Lord works His purpose in me

I will yield my anger and frustrations
And present my hurts and objections
He will perform the cause in my hand
As I yield and align my path along His
For the Lord works His purpose in me

This particular bit of work before me
And this fastidious and arduous cause
This lot, this cause difficult to manage
I hand it over; I rest on His faithfulness
For the Lord works His purpose in me

I pour my tears before the Most High
Unto Him who works His plans for me
And all things by the counsels of His will
And through His covenant engagements
For the Lord works His purpose in me

“The counsel of the Lord stands for ever
The thoughts of His heart to all generations”
The Lord is steadfast in love, in Him I trust
The Lord is my helper and my resting place
He works His purpose in me in His time
