He Was A Rogue Poem by Liilia Talts Morrison

He Was A Rogue

He was a rogue, a vagabond
his heart no one could tame
he trampled on so many lives
till Jesus called his name

His wanderlust at last was stilled
as angels took his sin
the thrill of faith replaced the need
to conquer and to win

His greatest passions quickly paled
as heaven was revealed
all pain and anguish washed away
and with salvation sealed

He was a rogue, a vagabond
his heart no one could tame
he trampled on so many lives
till Jesus called his name.
