If only I would have known from what said on the phone
That night you call me and why were you so mad at me
You always loved it when I was being your little puppet
You loved to scare me until I’d cried so you could hold me
I never understood why you weren’t the same as you used to be
You became so mean to me

You always told me how strong our love was but you were wrong
I always remembered that one time you had snapped on me
You whispered mean things into my ear that no body else could hear
You hurt me inside until there was no place that could hide me
I would run away from you and I even tried to hide up in a tree
But you still found me

In public you play the part of a prince your role lied to my heart
If I asked you for some space you would just get closer to me
When I looked for the old you I seem to just get lost in the new
In your eyes I see something like a spider staring straight at me
I feel like that beast that was in your eye was about to attack me
What is wrong with me

Since you played the part of the one who broke my heart
Well there is something that I think you should probably see
It’s just that it’s still broken and there is no other token
There are no roses on the windowsill waiting to be found by me
I’m just really missing the way that all love used to be
Love used to be the key

My heart in empty space is held together with a broken shoelace
I wish that you would at least look at what you did to me
The time with you was a waste now I need some extra strong paste
So that I can put together all the pieces of the life you broke on me
Now all I do is sit down and pray that someone could help me
Maybe then I can finally be free

I’m the bird afraid to fly for if I fall that hard again I’d probably die
But now all I need is someone who under their wings will take me
May that person be my angel from above or just the one I love
I may not know him well but I know he will welcome me warmly
When I feel the loneliest I know that he will keep me company
I know he would never flee

I look at the starry night sky with its stars that never seem to die
All those stars that dance in the sky are the secret messages to be
They hold all my secrets up there only for all those who really care
The secrets of those little stars will be just for him and for me
To decode the messages they keep love is the only key
The key he‘ll share with me

I can’t wait to meet that sweetheart who will repair my tender heart
I could just imagine him would be like the perfect friend for me
I will dance around my bedroom for I am so far from doom
Now I feel like I’m so close to meeting that perfect person for me
I think I see can see him right in front of me can this really be
The friend that helped me

I only want to be with him up in the hanging from the limbs
I can feel the love in every single thing he does with me
So what would you do if I said he’ll love me better then you
I know you won’t do a thing cause he won’t let you get near me
Because we are just happy together or couldn’t you see
That he is here with me
