He Doesn'T Know Poem by Lara W.A

He Doesn'T Know

Rating: 3.2

He thinks I’m pretty,
But he doesn’t want to know my name.
He thinks I’m happy,
But he doesn’t know I’d break down and cry when nobody’s watching.
He thinks i listen to pop and soppy ballads,
But he doesn't know i have the same Radiohead CD he plays in his car.

He thinks I’m colorful,
He thinks I’ve more colors than an average person does.
He thinks my phone rings more often than not.
He thinks my nights aren’t lonely,
He thinks I have dates to keep myself busy.
He thinks I’m laughing because I’m happy.

He doesn’t know I’m hiding behind my make up,
He doesn’t know I’m laughing to please the crowd.
He doesn’t know my world falls apart as soon as it gets dark.
He doesn’t know my eyes don’t show what’s inside.
He doesn’t know I write love songs in the middle of the night.

He doesn't know i sing to the stars,
And sometimes whisper;
'If only I could be who you wanted all the time.'
