He Chose The Rose Poem by Wendy Gomez

He Chose The Rose

Remember the past
That made you cry
Remember fast
Flashbacks that made you die

See the dullest rainbow in your head
Making you blind
So dimmed, so much color has shed
No more color will you find

In this golden heart lays a rusted key
The key you left behind
Only black and white you have earned to see
For a girl with a heart once loved you a girl so sweet and kind

You chose a rose
Now you must pay
The glow she owned was hidden but you chose the rose
Rose petals falling down and now it's dieing to turn gray

The glow of the rose is no more
And now you left the rose for the girl with the hidden glow
To find her to see her to meet her to be with her
The girl will love and show

Until the glow of girl is found
The rose dies silently
The rainbow will die without a sound
To brake the chain, earn to be free

His mind is set so far thought of the girl with the glow
His mind is weak his standards are not clear
Not again will he fall in temptation remembering this day he will grow
This lesson was tough this lesson was clear this lesson was dear

not only do roses fade, but they have some pretty nasty thorns...people should learn to see past their beauty...the right ones do.
