Have you ever felt the way I felt?
To feel like there's nothing that you can do to matter
To feel like you're the shadows of the day
To feel like every bit of happiness you get at least once has shattered
To want to give up, stay in a place of your own and just lay

Have you ever felt the way I felt?
To feel lost, no matter how many different directions you've tried
To only have one thing that makes you truly happy, but you have to wait to able to call it yours
To feel like you can't do or say anything right, even when you know it is and you feel like you can't even cry

Have you ever felt the way I felt?
You could be in a sea of hundreds of people and still feel alone
To be hurt on the inside every day and you just want to leave
To feel like you don't count, not on any level, no matter how low

Have you ever felt the way I felt?
To have one source of happiness that your in love with, but you don't feel like you deserve him
To love them with all your heart&soul and know that they're in love with you back, but you don't think your good enough
To see them in love with you, and not understand how they put up with you, which makes you fall in love with them even more

Have you ever felt the way I felt?
To feel so unhappy everywhere you go, but when you're with that one person, you're truly happy
To have to wait for years until you can truly call that person yours and not even care that you have to wait, just as long as you're together in the end
To be IN REAL LOVE and to promise that you will wait for them for however long it takes, and you know you will because you want to be with them forever literally

Have you ever felt the way I felt
To want to run away every day, but you know you can't
To wait until the day you can finally leave, and not come back
To make it your goal when you and that one person be happy for the rest of your days together as a couple
