Have You Ever Poem by Dozie Wogu

Have You Ever

Have you ever

Have you ever loved Someone
So much that thinking of Such
His suffering and agony
Makes you want to wither away in tears

Have you ever wondered
Why you struggle with sin
Why you cannot just be perfect

Have you ever slumped
In bewilderment with the thought that
You might not make Heaven
The signs you think, are so ubiquitous

Have you ever felt uncomfortable
In this world of unrealized hopes
Have you ever felt like
You do not belong here

Have you ever asked why
A good God made a bad world
A loving Father created a chaotic Earth
Why there is so much suffering

If you have never loved Someone
That the thought of His death on the Cross
Makes you bitter, cry and shriek
His suffering makes you screech

If you do not
Struggle with sin
You do not fight with impure thoughts
You do not fall and rise

If you have never shuddered
In you loathful life at the thought that
You may never make heaven
By your own righteousness

If you have never being vestige
With the thought of why there is wickedness
When a good God exist
Why chaos is the order of the day

Then you have not yet
Started the Christian journey
You are not yet in the camp of God
You are not yet poor in Spirit
Christ is not your reason for living
You are not looking at the signs of time

It means you are yet to begin
And rethink,
And resubmit
And Re-die
And restart the Christian journey
