Haunted By You Poem by Wilma Horne

Haunted By You

Rating: 5.0

Your memory haunts me
And will not let go
No matter how hard I try
You're still there

I wish you'd leave me alone
Cause with every memory
My heart breaks again
The tears begin to flow

With every tear
I slowly lose my sanity
And my heart all over again

I wake in the night
Screaming
Cause you're not there
Where you belong

Why don't you know
That my heart is yours
All you have to do
Is claim it

Why must I hurt
When all it takes
To fix my heart
Is you coming home?

But I know you won't
Cause you're not mine
And never will be..
