Haunted Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Haunted

The wet rain of love softly pours
Kiss the night with drenched thighs
The earth turns towards Venus
Hot liquid kisses
Languid world without color
Love sleeps in golden dreams

Hearts parched in loneliness awaken
The moon sails with ivory romance
All the dry places fill with hope
This hunger deeper than time
Leaves blow like living emeralds
Blue stars of a diamond sea
Your eyes light a thousand fires
The image of your face haunts me

I am the broken vessel of freedom
We are meant to be in love
No banner fly’s higher
Night banishes ideology
Love bends the proud to the ground
Pretend all you want
Act for all your noble causes
Try to fill up your empty heart
I am haunted by your kiss
Your long hair
Your sweet laughter
I am ready to change
The thirst for love can be fierce!

Love haunts me with songbirds
With wet moonlight
With the sound of the pouring rain
I am haunted by visions of Love
I am haunted by you my jewel
